It contains comprehensive data on over 70 dietary supplements, including the latest scientific studies, suggested dosage, benefits, classic deficiency symptoms, dietary sources, warnings, drug-nutrient interaction information and populations with special needs for each nutrient. Initially developed to help retail pharmacists quickly answer consumer questions on supplements, VHU is now utilized by a variety of healthcare professionals as well as media.
VHU also features an accredited continuing education program with the University of Georgia for pharmacists, and efforts to expand programs for other healthcare professionals are underway. |
