The Manufacturing Site Liaison serves as the facilitator between the Sourcing team and the manufacturing sites in a service-oriented/partnership role. This role is responsible to ensure that the site's priorities and business requirements are clearly understood and met and that Sourcing activities are aligned appropriately. You will support Category Managers' cost savings initiatives and, from time to time, work with site teams on all Direct and Indirect Procurement related issues. The Manufacturing Site Liaison will report to the Manager of Indirect Sourcing.

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:

  • Facilitator plans, guides and manages a seamless connection between Sourcing and Operations, with strong project management skills.
  • Development of site savings forecasts, including review of site financials with leadership; able to take appropriate action to keep activities on track.
  • Support or full ownership and management of material/product supply risks.
  • Viewed as a valued business advisor supporting both Operational and Sourcing priorities.

The ideal candidate is well-read with the ability to concisely articulate key points or insights verbally and in writing. Is ambitious with good follow-through, analytical and pays attention to detail and deadlines. Drives thought leadership with the ability to make unbiased recommendations based on facts and data.

You'll be most successful in this role if you have:

  • The ability to influence at various levels within the manufacturing sites and the Sourcing teams.
  • Good organizational skills, detailed oriented, a passion for problem-solving, and a positive attitude.
  • Highly motivated and dedicated to continuous
  • Ability to work with multiple priorities, pressure points, and sources of communication on a daily basis.
  • Relates well to a variety of people and builds rapport easily.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and teams: using diplomacy and tact and can diffuse high-tension situations.

In order to take on these challenges, you'll need to have:

  • The ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously that involve diverse technologies and cross-functional teams primarily within manufacturing operations.
  • Excellent business partner engagement skills.
  • 5 years of Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain related work experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain or a related field of study.
