The Strategic Sourcing Data and Analytics Sr. Analyst lead the creation and maintenance of analytical resources leveraging business intelligence tools on behalf of the Resource Center which supports the Strategic Sourcing Organization and executive leadership. You will drive improved performance through metrics and KPI's and support enhanced decision making with data driven insights. Support evolving Sourcing's digital capability by leading evaluation and implementation of new software or services around data, analytics, or automation.

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:

  • Development and maintenance of analytical resources including ad-hoc reporting, KPI's, dashboards, and metrics
  • Prepare and present insights and provide strategic recommendations leveraging effective data visualization
  • Stay up to date with best practices around data and analytics or Sourcing technology and serve as a key advisor on these topics
  • Evaluate software and technology that Sourcing could potentially leverage and lead implementation as necessary

The ideal candidate is well read and can concisely articulate key points or insights verbally and in writing. You are a self-starter and results-driven. Analytical and pays attention to detail and deadlines. Drives thought leadership and able to make unbiased recommendations based on facts and data.

You'll be most successful in this role if you have:

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence others to achieve objectives and deliver results
  • Exceptional strategic thinking skills with ability to draw insights from data and articulate into executive level summaries
  • Bias for action and must be able to assess and organize priorities meeting deliverables and deadlines in a fast paced and frequently changing environment
  • Understanding ERP (JDE a plus), the interrelations between systems, and mechanisms associated with data management and control
  • Expert level SQL, Excel and Power BI or other BI tools

To take on these challenges, you'll need to have:

  • Requires five years, or three years with a master's degree, of Supply Chain / Operations or Procurement / Strategic Sourcing or related experience
  • Building operational reports, queries, and creating charts & visualizations from data
  • Descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics
  • Applying analytical models and data science
  • Data, reporting, and process automation and implementation
  • PowerPoint and presentation skills to executive audiences
