POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounting Insights and Technology Manager is critical to modernizing the accounting department through finding system efficiencies, successfully implementing technology-based solutions for current-state problems, and expanding the organization’s data capabilities. In this role, you will hunt for meaningful system improvements, collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions to current problems, foster a culture of innovation, partner closely with the IT department on data integration and governance efforts, and promote data literacy within accounting. You will be responsible for integrating financial systems with analytics solutions to revolutionize the accounting function. To be successful in this role, you will require a blend of leadership acumen, a desire to think strategically and tackle modern day problems that require innovative solutions. You will also need technical expertise and a deep understanding of financial systems, process documentation, and data architecture. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:
Prepare and facilitate workshops with stakeholders to understand processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to optimization recommendations.
Champion the adoption of automation use cases, including generative AI, by identifying significant opportunities, building execution roadmaps, and managing training efforts to optimize efficiency and effectiveness across the entire accounting organization.
Partner with teams to support digital literacy and adoption of tools like Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Alteryx, and emerging AI capabilities.
Empower team members to independently access and analyze data by promoting the use of self-service analytics tools across the accounting function and teach them how data and analytics enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
Create sustainable processes and controls, ensuring validity of core data sources and efficiency of system resources while complying with the company’s internal control policies.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will be passionate about leveraging technology to solve modern day problems. This person will serve as the thought leader for systematized efficiency within the accounting organization. The model candidate will also be expert in preparing process documentation and deploying training to ensure that solutions are well-explained and able to be used by individuals across the accounting organization. The candidate will always keep relevant internal controls and company-wide data security policies top of mind when pursuing new technological solutions.
CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS
You’ll be most successful in this role if you have:
A desire to think strategically to tackle modern day problems that require innovative solutions.
A deep understanding of financial systems, process documentation, and data architecture.
Experience in driving complicated cross-functional projects to completion.
The ability to understand user’s explanations of how they use their systems today and what their pain points are.
The ability to switch between executive level communication and in the weeds details.
CAPABILITIES & SKILLS REQUIRED
To take on these challenges, you’ll need to have:
Required: a four-year university degree in Business, Accounting, or equivalent professional experience.
Required: 2-5+ years proven record of success implementing technological solutions
Recommended: 2-4 years experience in accounting, preferably public accounting
Experience with MySQL (Structured Query Language), Power BI, Tableau, and VBA (Visual Basics).
Experience with JD Edwards, Hyperion, Oracle, Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Power Automate is a plus.
Experience with AI solutions preferred.
A strong background in formal process documentation
Experience in automation and integration of multiple platforms.
Understanding of how to effectively develop and deploy technology centric training to an audience with varying degrees of technological competency.
Curiosity about the evolving technological landscape and desire to research/implement new technology like generative AI.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to financial data governance and quality.

SALARY RANGE
National Target Base Pay Range: $96,000.00 - $162,000.00. The salary range for this position is based on national standards. For candidates in California and New York metro the Target Base Pay Range is $106,000 - $180,000, to reflect the cost of living and market conditions in those areas.
Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.
Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. Our total rewards package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, Medical, dental and vision benefits, 401K match, and other wellness benefits.
