The Manager, Manufacturing Training & Development is a people-centric leader responsible for driving the growth, development, and performance of manufacturing employees across multiple remote sites (Opelika, AL, San Fernando, CA, Valencia, CA, New Albany, OH). This individual will partner with Plant and HR Leadership to create and sustain a high-performing, multi-skilled workforce through robust training programs that enhance both technical competencies and leadership capabilities. 

 

In this role, you will collaborate across all Pharmavite manufacturing and packaging sites to design, deliver, and manage comprehensive training and development programs. Your leadership will directly impact the employee experience, fostering career growth while aligning with organizational goals and promoting operational excellence. 

 
Responsibilities:

People Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and develop a distributed training team across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring consistent training delivery, coaching, and performance standards. 
  • Serve as a mentor and coach to site-level training leaders, empowering them to build effective, high-impact training programs. 
  • Partner with Operations leadership and HR to streamline onboarding for new employees, create clear training plans, and ensure consistent execution across all locations. 
  • Monitor and evaluate trainer performance, ensuring standard competencies and consistent delivery of training content. 

 

Training Program Development & Execution:

  • Develop and oversee the full lifecycle of the training program, including skills matrices, needs assessments, training delivery, and qualification of employees. 
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Safety, and Quality leaders to identify critical skills, knowledge, and regulatory certifications required for employees to excel in their roles. 
  • Leverage Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track training compliance and effectiveness, ensuring alignment with business objectives. 
  • Drive continuous improvement by establishing standard work instructions, auditing performance, and ensuring consistent training practices across remote sites. 

 

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all training programs comply with cGMP standards, ISO requirements, and regulatory guidelines. 
  • Support CGMP compliance during audits by maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee training records. 
  • Regularly evaluate and refine training content to address skills gaps and promote operational excellence. 

 

Operational & Strategic Leadership: 

  • Manage the Operations training budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Partner with HR and Talent Development teams to integrate leadership and professional development into the training strategy. 
  • Act as a key partner in change management initiatives, helping employees adapt to new processes, technologies, and ways of working. 
  • Travel approximately 30-40% to collaborate with remote sites and ensure consistent implementation of training programs. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience, with a focus on multi-site manufacturing environments. 
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred in Training & Development, Human Resources, or related field. 
  • Proven expertise in people leadership, coaching, and developing remote teams. 
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and performance tracking. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of influencing at all levels of the organization. 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.

Target Base Pay Range: $96,000.00 - $162,000.00. 

The salary range for this position is based on national standards. For candidates in California and New York metro, the Target Base Pay Range is $106,000.00 - $180,000.00, to reflect the cost of living and market conditions in those areas. 

Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. Our total rewards package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, Medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K match, and other wellness benefits.
