West Hills, CA (Hybrid 2 days onsite/3 remote)
The Manager, Strategic Corporate Sourcing is an engaged leader with strong knowledge and experience across various Corporate categories, including Marketing Services, CAPEX, Technology, Sales Support Services, Human Resources, etc. This role will deliver maximum total value to Pharmavite by establishing a sourcing roadmap for stakeholders to maximize value and performance from supplier base, while staying at the forefront of services business model and manage supplier risk. The role will oversee a spend of approximately $175 million. The Manager will report into the Director, Strategic Sourcing, Corporate and Technical, and will manage a team of four Category Managers.
Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:
Ensure that the Corporate Sourcing team continues its journey towards becoming a world class organization through continuous talent development and the adoption of sourcing best/world class practices (e.g., Supplier relationship management, risk management and negotiation strategies, market analytics/insights, etc.).
Provide leadership to establish and execute sourcing goals and objectives
Become the recognized expert for market intelligence information, supply base business models, short- and long-term market trends, supply/demand/ price implications, and supplier risk mitigation measures
Drive development, execution, and evolution of Corporate Sourcing category strategies in partnership with Key Stakeholders
Drives strategy to deliver financial performance goals, including savings/avoidance and working capital
Lead cross-functional teams to manage complex strategic sourcing projects including supply market analysis, vendor selection and on boarding, commercial negotiation, supplier relationship management and contract development and execution
Conduct market analysis, and work with finance to develop cost modeling, financial risk, and opportunity assessment
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and possess the ability to work independently and measure progress against goals. Drives thought leadership and able to make unbiased recommendations based on facts and data. Has the ability to concisely articulate key points or insights verbally and in writing.
You'll be most successful in this role if you have:
Demonstrated history of delivering results through advanced strategic sourcing best practices
Ability to think through complex problems using analysis from multiple sources and compiling information into a clear framework and recommendation
Strong influence skills at all levels of the organization and supplier base
Strong communication skills both written and oral
Exceptional problem solving, strategic planning, critical thinking, analytical, ability to deal with ambiguity, and risk management skills
Strong understanding of the Procedure to Pay (P2P) transactional process and of how to utilize digital technology, including implementing automated processes to reduce tactical and transactional activities, dashboarding/metrics to measure and manage results
In order to take on these challenges, you'll need to have:
A four-year college or university degree, MBA degree preferred
10+ years of work experience including at least 5 years of experience in Corporate Services Sourcing
Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Project.
Experience with leveraging COE and Resource Center models (analytics, market Intel, risk management, optimization best practices and talent development)
Project management experience leading complex initiatives across the organization
3+ years of supervisory experience
Strong business and financial acumen
