Senior Financial Analyst 

 Valencia, CA (Hybrid)

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing insightful management reporting to the supply chain organization and developing financial models to guide strategic decisions. This role will oversee and actively manage multiple departments' budgets and optimize month end reporting. Senior Financial Analyst reports to Mgr, Operations Controller. 

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include: 

  • Assists Plant Controller for all accounting and financial activities of Valencia facilities, including but not limited to month end close, account reconciliations, variances analysis, forecast, and budget 

  • Assists operations and logistics departments in the development of their annual department expense budgets, freight planning, as well as monitoring periodic performance to budget and assisting in the development of forecast projections. 

  • Measures, analyzes and reports on packaging material and logistic related variances. Recommends strategies to improve manufacturing efficiencies through analysis of production processes, capacities and new technologies. 

  • Conducts ad-hoc analyses as needed to support operational decision making and improve profitability 

You'll be most successful in this role if you have: 

  • Self-motivation, drive, and sense of urgency to meet deadlines while maintaining strong relationships with internal business partners 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for process improvements 

  • The ability to think 'big-picture' and understand the key trends and levers that drive a business 

  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision 

  • Demonstrated clear and concise communication skills 

To take on these challenges, you'll need to have: 

  • 3+ years of experience in Finance, Business Analytics, Accounting, or a related field that demands strong analytical aptitude 

  • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Accounting or Finance 

  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Power Point 

  • Knowledge of profit/loss statement preparation, balance sheet relationships and annual budget process. Working knowledge of GAAP 

  • Experience working in a manufacturing supply chain environment and CPG preferred  

  • Large ERP system experience, JD Edwards preferred
