Sr. Analyst, Optimization & Market Intel

West Hills, CA  

The Sr. Analyst, Optimization & Market Intel is responsible for leading digital services and digital transformation initiatives on behalf of Resource Center which supports the Strategic Sourcing Organization. This role is to take Sourcing to the next level by streamlining and optimizing sourcing and purchasing activities through effective master data management, process efficiencies, and identifying and leveraging outsourcing or automation.

They will also manage the Market Intel research deck which entails regularly reading up and keeping an eye on commodities, trade, energy, exchange rates and other economic indicators and summarizing key insights that are relevant to supporting Risk, Category, or Negotiation strategy in Sourcing as well as Strategies in the broader business. Sr. Analyst, Optimization & Market Intel reports to Manager, Business Analytics.

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:

  • Research, analyze, and develop understanding of digital platforms, software, and services available that may be leveraged by Pharmavite and lead implementation projects
  • Oversee those critical daily sourcing & purchasing activities are completed effectively and timely and find opportunities to automate or outsource these processes
  • Research commodities, trade, energy, exchange rates and other economic indicators and update the Resource Center’s Market Intel report
  • Provide strategic guidance to Sourcing that enable data driven decisions around both Category and Negotiation Strategy
  • Keeps up to date with knowledge of current trends and developments that may be business relevant by reading journals, articles, news, blogs, papers, and other sources of information and transforms into resources for Sourcing team.

The ideal candidate is well read and can concisely articulate key points or insight verbally and in writing. You are a self-starter and results driven. Is analytical and pays attention to detail and deadlines. Drives thought leadership and able to make unbiased recommendations based on facts and data.

You'll be most successful in this role if you have:

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence others to achieve objectives
  • Exceptional strategic thinking skills with ability to draw insights from data and articulate into executive level summaries
  • Bias for action and must be able to assess and organize priorities meeting deliverables and deadlines in a fast paced and frequently changing environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

In order to take on these challenges, you’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing or Business Analytics
  • 4-5 years business analytics experience in the areas of sourcing, supply chain or commodities
  • Experience building operational reports, building queries, and creating charts or visualizations from data (in Excel/Power BI or other BI tools)
  • Skilled at utilizing various tools (e.g. Gantt charts, dashboards, key deliverables, business cases, charters, etc.)
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills to executive audiences
  • Project management experience

Annual Pay

Annual Pay Range

$95,893.00 - $143,891.00

This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.  This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.
