The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for leading a high performing team of QA personnel that champion product release, internal audits, non-conformance investigations, and corrective and preventative action (CAPA) programs.  Through process evaluation, data analysis, and cross-functional partnering, sustains a culture of safety, cGMP compliance, and continuous improvement while maintaining key business metrics and reports.  Demonstrates Pharmavite’s purpose, values, and beliefs to employees and cross-functional partners.  This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and manages a Specialist and a Coordinator 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Leads, trains, and develops staff with strong cGMP knowledge, regulatory requirements, and technical skills while promoting a culture of quality 

  • Generates and maintains SOP's and JI's related to quality systems 

  • Supports the review and risk-based audit activities related to Operations SOPs, JIs, records, and building conditions 

  • Leads and/or supports the root cause investigation, documentation, efficacy evaluation, and timely closure of non-conformances and CAPAs to ensure product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement 

  • Writes complete, accurate, and high-quality reports and investigations appropriate for internal distribution 

  •  Supports trend data analysis to identify areas of improvement in processes, especially related to reduction of NCRs and improvement of metrics (pQRFT, dQRFT, e.g.) 

The ideal candidate is a leader who can engage and motivate the team to constantly meet deadlines without compromising quality or integrity. Works well in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency to deliver results.

Critical Success Factors 

You’ll be most successful in this role if you have:  

  • Ability to coach, develop and build high performing team 

  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communications skills 

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or an FDA regulated industry 

  • Knowledge of auditing principles with keen attention to details 

  • A continuous improvement mindset that ensures corrective/preventative actions are effectively established for non-conformances and proactively recommends/implements improvements 

Capabilities & Skills Required 

In order to take on these challenges, you’ll need to have: 

  • Four year college degree or its equivalent, preferably in a science field  

  • Minimum four years experience in quality assurance or related inspection activities, preferably in a pharmaceutical or nutraceutical environment 

  • Direct supervisory experience of 3 or more team members 

  • Critical thinking skills and subject matter expertise for problem solving and troubleshooting operational issues related to quality 

  • Strong knowledge of cGMP's, SOP's, document review, internal/external auditing, and sampling plans/techniques

Annual Pay

Annual Pay Range

$89,100.00 - $133,600.00

This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.  This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.
