Key Account Manager (Strategic Drug Channel)

Remote (East Coast preferred) 

CVS Key Account Manager is responsible for actively managing and growing sales at all CVS retail formats in addition to CVS Ecommerce. This includes addressing new business opportunities and driving overall sales in both existing products and new innovation. The CVS Key Account Manager reports to the Director of CVS. 

Key Responsibilities 

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include: 

  • Actively managing and growing sales with CVS (~$125M annual revenue) 

  • Delivering promotional plan activation, tracking and execution. 

  • Driving and successfully securing new innovation and new item entries on the shelf. 

  • Maintaining budget limits, including co-op, promotion allowances, and travel. 

  • Analyzing CVS Extra Care loyalty data. 

  • Building account presentations to support strategic recommendations 

  • Identifying business opportunities with CVS as it relates to product distribution, product placement, promotion and loyalty analytics. 


Ideal Candidate Profile 

The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter. You are passionate for driving sales driven to overachieve. 

Critical Success Factors 

You will be most successful in this role if you have: 

  • Passion for driving sales 

  • Prior experience and knowledge in vitamins or health & beauty categories within mass-market retailers(Drug channel ideal) 

  • Strong listening and communication abilities 

  • Ability to influence multiple levels of an organization and find win-win solutions 

Capabilities & Skills Required 
In order to take on these challenges, you’ll need to have: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent. 

  • 3-7 years of CPG field sales experience, including experience managing brokers. 

  • Knowledge of Drug class of trade preferred. 

  • Requires approximately 20-25% of travel.

Annual Pay

Annual Pay Range

$111,700.00 - $167,500.00

This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.  This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.
