The Quality Assurance Manager, manages the site’s quality assurance programs and supports the oversight and continuous improvement of the quality procedures and systems to enable the site’s operations to deliver products, which meet cGMP regulations, Pharmavite’s high quality standards, and our consumers’ expectations. Responsible for assuring compliance with cGMP’s, other regulations, company policies and procedures; including, assuring the site maintains its quality systems in a state of audit readiness.     

Key Responsibilities

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include: 

  • Responsible for creating and fostering a collaborative relationship with other areas (Operations, Planning, Maintenance, Finance, Distribution, etc.) within the manufacturing site.  

  • Ensures products are manufactured in a manner that is consistent with applicable cGMPs and meet all relevant quality standards, including the company’s own quality standards 

  • Identifies and assists in the continual management quality improvement opportunities at the site; and if applicable, throughout the companyAligns these improvement activities with organizational, site, and corporate strategic goals. 

  • Hosts all regulatory and certification audits. Leads the activities associated with any remediation actions if needed as a result of the site audit findings. 

  • Assists in the budgetary process for quality assurance segment

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability for creating and fostering a collaborative relationship within the site. You should also demonstrate the ability to make sound quality and business types of decisions related to product compliance and safety  

Critical Success Factors

You’ll be most successful in this role if you have:  

  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a collaborative environment with a positive leadership style and a hands-on approach that emphasizes teamwork, collaboration, influencing, motivating, and team building  

  • Strong strategic thinking ability along with business acumen  

  • Good critical and deductive reasoning, and agile decision-making skills 

  • Robust problem-solving skills 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance and compliance with Food and Drug Regulations and associated cGMP compliance requirements 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing operations, GMP’s, GLP’s, SOPs, auditing, and inspection 

  • Strong people development and leadership skills 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels (internal and external), along with good cross-functional interpersonal skills 

  • Strong project management and presentation skills 

Capabilities & Skills Required

In order to take on these challenges, you’ll need to have: 

  • A four-year college or university degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, or related sciences. Applicable on the job type experience will also be considered. 

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in the Quality organization of a dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, food, or closely related industry, primarily leading teams that include quality assurance

Annual Pay

Annual Pay Range

$125,100.00 - $187,600.00

This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.  This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.
