The Site Operational Excellence Leader is the leader of all processes related to discovery, prioritization and execution of continuous improvement for a site. Trusted consultant, facilitator, and coach to site leadership, peers, and hourly associates. Project and program management expert with clear mastery of green belt lean systems tools with the ability to lead organization through execution and sustainment. Learn-by-doing teacher with bias for action and direct accountability to respective site results. Expected to support multiple sites on key projects, tools or initiatives as needed for personal and company development in our operational excellence journey.

Key Responsibilities

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:

  • Owns site continuous improvement roadmap and culture development with a strong dotted line responsibility to the site director 

  • Models behavior expected of the team – creator of vision, purpose, and measurement against the ideal not budgets or historical performance 

  • Directly leads roll-out and implementation of chosen Lean system-based tools consistent with the Pharmavite Business Excellence System 

  • Manages and measures work; lays out and executes clear strategies for project & change management 

  • Leads site lean capability development and tracking 

  • Partners with plant management to engage front line workforce in driving daily improvements

  • Partners with operations, engineering, and finance to conduct loss and waste analysis and to develop improvement plans to minimize waste.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have a Lean Systems Green Belt/SME Lean Bronze skillset and a proven record of 3 – 5 years of delivering sustained improvements through kaizen and/or structured problem solving in a manufacturing environment. With a strong STEM education including a minimum 4-year college/university degree.

Critical Success Factors

You’ll be most successful in this role if you have:

  • Ability to drive improvement results without position authority 

  • Initiative to work independently 

  • Practical leadership experience with Lean Systems Green Belt or higher / SME Lean Bronze skills driving to a quantifiable result via Kaizen / Improvement Events 

  • Experience in the development and execution of a lean culture, vision, and purpose across all levels, from leadership to front line

  • Excellent coaching/influencing experience with all levels in the organization 

Required Skills & Capabilities

To take on these challenges, you will need to have:

  • Four-year college/university degree in supply chain, engineering, accounting, sciences, or related field.

  • 3-5 years post-collegiate work experience minimum 

  • Experience leading in a strong continuous improvement production environment 

  • Implementation experience of key Lean continuous improvement tools 

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects through implementation 

  • Prefer consumer product goods (CPG) or high-speed, repetitive manufacturing

  • Prior training experience

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to lead through influence

Annual Pay

Annual Pay Range

$111,700.00 - $167,500.00

This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.  This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.
