2nd Shift (3pm-11:30pm)

The Process Controls Technician installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and calibrates control devices. Continuously evaluates all process control systems for reliability and proactively seeks methods to optimize the manufacturing processes and works closely with cross functional teams. The Process Controls Technician reports directly to Maintenance Supervisor.  

Key Responsibilities

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:

  • Designs, installs, program and troubleshoots electrical and electronic controls systems and components including PLC’s, VFD’s, HMI’s and process control loops.

  • Recommends measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.

  • Documents and communicates the installation and changes of control, electrical and electronic systems.

  • Works closely with outside vendors and technical representatives on control, electrical and electronic system problems and designs.

  • Manages assigned projects.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and controls engineering fundamentals, and creative with recommending solutions. A candidate who can make difficult decisions, act with urgency to deliver on customer needs, assisting the off shifts as deemed necessary and work with minimal supervision. A candidate who enjoys working and motivating others, including training others in process control applications or as a technical resource when working with mechanics, technicians, and vendors.

Critical Success Factors

You'll be most successful in this role if you have:

  • Knowledge or ability to read electrical/electronic and ladder schematics.

  • Preferred working knowledge of JDE/Oracle.

  • Close attention to detail.

Required Skills & Capabilities

In order to take on these challenges, you'll need to have:

  • High School diploma/GED or 9 years work history equivalency of related work experience.

  • Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Technology, or related military service training programs.

  • Minimum 5 years maintenance experience in industrial control system development, installation, and troubleshooting.

  • Specific knowledge of GMP, IEEE specifications, ISA specifications

  • PLC and PC-Based HMI Programming and implementation experience, preferably Allen Bradley.

  • Good communication and organization skills.

Annual Pay

Annual Pay Range

$79,848.00 - $119,925.00

This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.  This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.

Pharmavite provides compensation for all overtime hours worked by non-exempt (hourly) employees in accordance with state and federal law. The need to work overtime hours will be determined by management, based on customer and business necessity to meet the needs of our business, Pharmavite may require employees to work overtime.

Voluntary overtime requested by non-exempt employees must be approved in advance by the employee’s supervisor.
