Location: West Hills, CA (Hybrid 3 days/week)
The Associate Marketing Manager- Innovation will be a part of a cross-functional team responsible for driving key growth initiatives and creating a pipeline of new products, packaging, and business models. The Associate Marketing Manager will harness an entrepreneurial mindset to uncover insights and integrate them with strong scientific knowledge to deliver compelling and differentiated new business opportunities. This role will report to the Sr. Brand Manager of Innovation Marketing and offers an opportunity to bring a high level of curiosity, creativity, and new thinking to the business that enable healthy lifestyles for consumers.
Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:
- Supporting the execution of strategic and marketing aspects during the innovation discovery process, collaborating cross-functionally, and creating value propositions that will help achieve the brand's objectives in the marketplace, which includes:
Following an agile approach to accelerate project development and facilitate rapid innovation
Helping identify addressable consumer target and their needs in collaboration with Insights and the Nature Made® brand team
Supporting category and competitive business assessments to identify opportunities to disrupt through marketplace innovation
Leading the ideation and concept development process for new product pipeline
Maintaining detailed project timelines to ensure delivery of project milestones
Working cross-functionally with Science & Technology lead to identify new ingredient and technology solutions, Finance to establish size of prize and P&L viability, Consumer Insights to test and validate concepts, and Marketing and Sales to determine channel and placement
Working with team to develop Minimum Viable Products and run in-market experiments, when applicable
Supporting the development of recommendations to leadership team to secure resources to scale ideas to launch
Partnering with Insights Lead to continually drive consumer-centricity in our innovation work and evolve our agile processes.

The ideal candidate has an agile, growth mindset to develop, test, iterate on ideas and demonstrates the ability to thinking strategically and challenge the norm. You are able to look beyond the vitamin and supplements category to bring a futurist mindset to the business. Effective communication and collaboration skills are paramount, with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. You have experience working in a high-performance, fast-paced team of people with very diverse backgrounds.
Critical Success Factors
You’ll be most successful in this role if you have:
Ability to navigate and analyze syndicated data to distill insights
Skills in turning information into compelling storytelling and key learnings to drive innovation strategy and sell ideas internally
Strong brand and product development skills, from concept to positioning to launch plans
Demonstrated ability to partner with cross-functional teams to achieve a common goal
Interest in health & wellness and excited by trends in healthy living
Capabilities & Skills Required
In order to take on these challenges, you’ll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or its equivalent required; MBA is preferred
Requires 2+ years' experience post-MBA or 4 years post-college, with a minimum of 1 year working in the development or commercialization of innovation
Experience with analyzing syndicated consumption and panel data (IRI, Nielsen) is required
Experience creating, developing and launching innovation in market is required
Experience working in a diverse cross-functional team is preferred
Experience working in Health Wellness/ Personal Care in the consumer-packaged industry, Vitamins and Supplements, or OTC Pharmaceutical is preferred
Understanding of both Traditional Retail Channels and E-commerce is preferred

Annual Pay Range$99,700.00 - $149,600.00
This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.
