**HYBRID 3 DAYS (T,W,Th)**

The Strategic Sourcing Category Manager – CAPEX is a SME on the Capital category and emerging business models. They will be responsible for proactively developing, implementing, and evolving Category Strategies while supporting and influencing internal stakeholders. This individual will support key category initiatives by providing sourcing direction & expertise in the supplier evaluation, selection & management, commercial agreements negotiation, data analytics & pricing reviews. The Strategic Sourcing Category Manager – CAPEX, reports to the Manager, Corporate Sourcing, Indirect. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Critical contribution this role is counted on to deliver are:

  • Supports annual $30MM+ in CAPEX sourcing activities across Pharmavite’s manufacturing, corporate and distribution facilities. 

  • Proactively develops, presents and implements CAPEX Sourcing Category Strategies including process maps to optimize value for Pharmavite.  

  • Contributes to development of Preferred Supplier vendor listing and vendor optimization strategies through understanding of internal and external stakeholders, utilizing supplier performance scorecards and executing contracts.  

  • Lead the Capital strategic sourcing process, including the selection of suppliers and commercial terms negotiations to obtain the best value quality specifications, service demands and supplier innovation opportunities. 

  • Works with internal stakeholders to achieve optimal total cost of ownership and manage risk, while meeting the business and stakeholders’ objectives. 

  • Establish short- and long-term category metrics and TCO savings targets, monitor performance, and communicate these to stakeholders. 

  • Drive value through supplier relationship management and QBRs to ensure quality, delivery and cost improvements, utilizing KPIs, scorecards, etc. 

  • Provides Pharmavite Engineering team with market intelligence on portfolio items as well as marketplace trends. 

  • Regularly performs price, industry and supplier analysis to support effective decision analysis in the sourcing process and work directly with key suppliers to negotiate preferred pricing and contract terms. 

  • Proactively and regularly communicates with Operations, Engineering and Quality team to ensure tactical alignment to category initiatives . 

  • Contributes to a strong governance culture by complying with Capital Sourcing policy and other appropriate governance policies and procedures.

  • Supports the identification of potential contract improvement opportunities and re-negotiations. 

  • Works with cross-functional team (Legal, Engineering, Finance) to map sourcing to contract workflow and optimizes process to enable faster sourcing.

Drives thought leadership and able to make unbiased recommendations based on facts and data. Has the ability to concisely articulate key points or insights verbally and in writing.   

Critical Success Factors

You'll be most successful in this role if you have: 

  • Understanding of Enterprise business relationships and how this role impacts others. 

  • Functional knowledge of the CAPEX Category, planning budgeting, and project management.  

  • Experience with capital projects to support new greenfield site construction preferred.

  • General understanding of the financial aspects of capital expenditures, ROI, NPV, cash flow and total cost of ownership. 

  • General Understanding of process engineering, the design and build of equipment and facility construction. 

  • The ability to incorporate market intelligence and data analytics into the category strategies and to leverage the information during contract negotiations. 

Capabilities & Skills Required

In order to take on these challenges, you'll need to have: 

  • 5+ years of work experience including a minimum of 3 years of experience in CAPEX Sourcing and Category Management. 

  • BS/BA degree in related field required or equivalent experience (e.g. Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering). 

  • Ability to look at varying sources of data such as spend, cost, financial, and sources of market intelligence to be able to communicate to stakeholders, and manage and mitigate category risk.  

  • Worked with cross functional teams where people want to have you on their project teams and you have been able to influence and sway people to your opinions or ideas or get what you want or need.

Annual Pay

Annual Pay Range

$102,193.00 - $153,340.00

This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.  This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.
