The Quality Assurance Coordinator I is responsible for tracking, reviewing, and evaluating all processing documents accompanying manufacture and packaging of products.  This role prepares final documents for product disposition and assists QA Leaders in monitoring support on the packaging floor. The Quality Assurance Coordinator I (2nd shift) reports to the shift Quality Leader.

Key Responsibilities

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:

  • On time batch record releases with 100% accuracy.

  • Independently reviews and approves batch record documentation.

  • Assembles and reviews all manufacturing or packaging documents, processing steps and laboratory test records.

  • Samples, inspects, and reviews documentation of components, labels, and finished goods for proper disposition.

  • Calculates product yields and reconciles deviations. Reviews non-conformance reports (NCRs) and change controls for completion and accuracy.

  • Has authority to release product if all required documents are complete, accurate, and results are within established specifications.

  • Has authority to approve batch record minor NCRs.

  • Resubmits documentation for corrective action, where required.

  • Enters processing document information into computer system database.

  • Enters disposition into computer system.

  • Attends meetings and communicates daily quality performance.

Critical Success Factors

You'll be most successful in this role if you have:

  • Support department, site, and company KPIs, pQRFT and dQRFT metrics.

  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot production issues related to quality and/or operational issues while meeting deadlines.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and writing with multiple levels of employees (employees, supervisor, manager, etc.) and across multiple functions.

  • Subject matter expert in their work area to aid in identification of sustainable solutions to address systemic issues.

  • Working knowledge of equipment, safety, quality, and computer systems.

Capabilities & Skills Required

In order to take on these challenges, you'll need to have:

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent with mathematics as a required course. Exposure to chemistry and college mathematics would be a plus.

  • One to three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in Quality is preferred.

  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Computer skills in data entry and processing.

  • Ability to conduct mathematical calculations.

  • Attention to detail.

Annual Pay

Annual Pay Range

$43,900.00 - $65,800.00

This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.  This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.

Pharmavite provides compensation for all overtime hours worked by non-exempt (hourly) employees in accordance with state and federal law. The need to work overtime hours will be determined by management, based on customer and business necessity to meet the needs of our business, Pharmavite may require employees to work overtime.

Voluntary overtime requested by non-exempt employees must be approved in advance by the employee’s supervisor.
