Warehouse Leader (On-site)
New Albany, Ohio
Position Summary:
The Warehouse Leader is responsible for leading, developing and executing warehouse functions at the site. This entails managing and coordinating activities to support Manufacturing, Packaging and Logistics departments by overseeing activities warehouse capacity planning, resource planning, receiving, storage and shipping of materials. Models Pharmavite’ s purpose, beliefs, and values for their employees by embedding a solid foundation that inspires team to meet annual objectives and continuously improve.
Responsibilities:
Develop standard work processes and trains and qualifies team to ensure work processes and procedures are consistently followed. Ensures direct reports are trained on applicable ERP applications and has documented training on department SOP(s).
Develops, drives, and maintains improvements in the daily scheduling and reporting processes to enhance efficiency, reporting transparency in information and performance measurement system to ensure timely and effective implementation of improvements.
Effectively communicates site master data including calendars, planned downtime, lead times, changeover times, and material usage to their shift and others.
Plays a key role in supporting production, planning and scheduling to maximize customer service and site throughput, keeping up with material demands and quality.
Oversees warehouse department, components, ingredients, bulks, and finished ingredients to reduce obsolescence risks and supply chain disruptions.
Coordinates materials between Materials Planning Department and site.
Ensures daily scheduling and resources of labor with appropriate back-ups are available. Create an energizing work environment that supports the Company’s high-performance culture. Manages the daily plan for internal warehouse and off-site locations related to site to ensure materials flow to manufacturing, packaging, distribution, and other functional areas.
Manages, develops, and motivates a team to deliver results by communicating company goals, safety practices, and deadlines; engaging and developing employees through effective performance management, coaching and training; implementing continuous improvement practices while maintaining customer focus and department safety; and embodying company purpose and values.
Knowledge of and ability to operate/and train on PIV equipment including stand-ups, reach trucks, general forklift, Pallet Jacks, and hand equipment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Requires a four-year college or university degree or its equivalent in Business or Industrial Management or its equivalent combination of education/relevant work experience is required.
Certification:
Six Sigma and or Lean/Continuous Improvement experience & certification preferred.
Obtain internal Lean Green Belt certification and Kata coach within one year of employment.
Experience:
Requires minimum of four years’ experience in manufacturing/CPG warehouse/distribution to include supervisory/leadership experience.
Must have a willingness to learn and lead a warehouse operation to include Inventory best practices, Cycle Counting, Receiving/Shipping and various Picking methods.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Requires:
Competent knowledge and development of SOPs, cGMPs, within a CPG environment.
Experience working within a rapidly evolving environment, able to adjust to changing job requirements.
Experience leading, developing, and coaching employees to reach their maximum potential and build a highly skilled, highly regarded and initiative-taking customer focused team.
Aligns with the corporate vision and develops departmental and employee performance objectives that support company strategic goals.
Champions kaizen events and 5-S activities with a focus on continuous improvement and productivity initiatives; supports lean initiatives by leading/facilitating kaizen events.
Excellent organizational skills and communication skills.
Strong analytical skills with expert proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Power BI preferred.
Proficiency with common WMS/ERP systems and interfaces. Systems implementation experience preferred. JDE experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
General office and warehouse environment, ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time on concrete floors. Ability to move throughout the site, be visible on the floor for most of the day and lift objects to various degrees.
Environment:
Exposure to disagreeable elements is limited.
Travel:
Up to 10% normally but more frequently during first year of plant start-up.
Safety:
The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely without endangering the health or safety of self or others.
Supervisory Responsibility:
The incumbent has direct supervisory responsibility for up to 5 employees, plus supporting personnel and next level leader responsibilities for over 20 employees across multiple shifts.

$83,100.00 - $137,100.00This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.
