SR MANAGER, MARKETING FORECASTING AND PORTFOLIO OPERATIONS 

WEST HILLS, CA / HYBRID 

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Sr Manager of Marketing Forecasting and Portfolio Operations will optimize and oversee the marketing forecast process and consolidation/alignment of the marketing and sales drivers to maximize sales, profit, and share. The Sr. Manager will be the primary point of contact with brand segment leaders, sales, finance, demand planning and supply chain partners in advancing and improving our forecasting management processes. This role’s impact will be improving forecast accuracy, identifying areas for further analytical rigor, and partnering with A&I to continually improve the forecast. The Sr. Manager will also be responsible for leading and coordinating all customer facing deliverables on behalf of the brand team, including coordination of National Sales Meeting deliverables as well as leading updates to mid- and long-term volume and financial forecasts.   

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES: 

Marketing Forecast Management  

  • Sales Forecast Process Lead: Owner of Marketing forecast process in collaboration with A&I, Demand Planning, Commercial partners, and finance to optimize and set principles for Marketing drivers and application across all channels and segments to ensure continuous forecast accuracy improvement. 

  • Own and lead marketing process development for forecast accuracy improvement through analytics, interpretation, and application, and managing inputs from segment leaders. 

  • Develop operational agility through integration of tools and methodologies to be leveraged across brand marketing, A&I team, and sales to improve efficiencies in forecasting 

  • Deliver commercial strategies through partnership with sales, supply chain, finance, and customer team input.  

  • Data Governance: Uphold the gold standards of data quality, security, and governance, ensuring compliance with pertinent regulations and maintaining data privacy. 

Portfolio Operations:  

  • Customer facing deliverables: Lead and coordinate development of customer facing deliverables for key conferences, meetings, line reviews, etc. 

  • National Sales Meeting: Organize and coordinate the marketing narrative and deliverables to deliver a cohesive, compelling brand story. 

  • Long Term forecast refreshes: Partner with finance and sales to lead refreshes on mid-long term plan forecast updates and report out on drivers of change.

The ideal candidate for this role will be an innovative, analytical thinker who can use data to influence process and key decisions. The incumbent will enjoy building and maintaining highly collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders to gather input and align shared decisions. This person must be a skilled project manager, able to coordinate across teams to deliver critical internal and external presentations with input from multiple cross functional teams.

  • Analytically driven, with previous forecasting experience (preferably in CPG space)

  • Ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations 

  • Strong storytelling skills, both in written and verbal communication 

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence and negotiate across all levels and functions while promoting collaboration and driving problem resolution.

REQUIRED SKILLS & CAPABILITIES 

To take on these challenges, you will need to have: 

  • 5+ years brand/P&L management, including previous forecasting experience and/or analytics experience, preferably in a CPG environment 

  • 4-year College degree, MBA preferred

Annual Pay

Annual Pay Range

$160,720.00 - $241,080.00

This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.  This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.
