Key Responsibilities: 

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include: 

  • Manage and influence the key stakeholders in the Demand Consensus Process. Identify insights in demand that can be used to support increased revenue at retailer.  

  • Manage the demand planning process to provide an accurate forecast that supports customer service requirements while minimizing inventory levels 

  • Recommend and implement key supply chain planning techniques with the supply planning organization to support minimal stockouts and increased inventory turns.  

  • Coach, mentor and help develop team of demand planners. 

  • Identify lean techniques to improve demand planning metrics and processes

Critical Success Factors: 

You’ll be most successful in this role if you have:  

  • Influencing and leadership skills to consense on an accurate forecast 

  • Sleuthing and curiousity to determine root cause on forecast error 

  • Planning ahead to drive accurate forecasts, especially outside of Supply Chain lead time 

  • Drive and ability to implement supply chain planning techniques to support overall Supply Chain metrics 

  • Leads team members towards continuous improvement in planning techniques

Capabilities & Skills Required:

In order to take on these challenges, you’ll need to have: 

  • Experience in Supply Chain Planning, using forecasting techniques to create a forecast 

  • Working knowledge of Sales and Operations Planning Process 

  • Superviory Experience coaching and developing employees to continously improve performance 

  • Experience in Lean or other continuos improvement techniques to improve results 

  • Industry Certification (APICS, IBF) preferred 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain/Operations, Math/Statistics. An MBA is preferred.

Certification:

An APICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society) or IBF (Institute of Business Forecasting & Planning) certification is preferred.

Experience:

Requires 8 years’ experience in demand planning or related supply chain competency in a packaged goods/consumer products environment. Exposure to statistical analysis and analytical tools (demand planning tool) is also required. Must include previous supervisory experience of professional level employees.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Requires:

· Competent knowledge of forecasting technology and the supply chain process.

· Strong analytical, problem solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

· Knowledge of statistical data and ability to translate it into practical business applications.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.

· Excellent skills in spreadsheet and data base software.

· Ability to influence key stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

Physical Requirements:

General office environment, ability to sit for long periods. Ability to move about an office.

Environment:

Exposure to disagreeable elements is negligible.

Safety:

The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely without endangering the health or safety of self or others.

Supervisory Responsibility:

The incumbent has direct supervisory responsibility for six to ten employees.

Annual Pay

Annual Pay Range

$114,493.00 - $171,688.00

This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.  This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.
