Position Summary:
Responsible for coordinating all vendor deliveries of components and/or raw materials for Manufacturing operations, for both inbound and outbound shipments of finished goods. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and courier specifications to all Pharmavite distribution centers. Provides all required supporting documents and maintains files to meet customer service and transportation objectives. Systematically verifies vendor and carrier paperwork and generates supporting documentation for inspection and warehousing.
Responsibilities:
- Verifies vendor paperwork and systematically generates receivers and barcode identification for Quality Assurance and the warehouse. Verifies completeness and accuracy of receivers.
- Communicates with Purchasing and Planning departments for confirmation and authorization on vendor deliveries (i.e. discrepancies in purchase orders, quantities, due dates, damaged goods and miscellaneous).
- Coordinates all shipments and freight carrier pick-ups through designated carriers according to general traffic guidelines set forth by the Manager of Transportation. This requires daily contact with freight carrier dispatchers and internal customers for shipments to Pharmavite’s distribution centers.
- Has daily outside contact with freight carriers and dispatchers regarding scheduling deliveries and notification to internal contacts when shipments received.
- Creates and edits all shipping documents including bills of lading and packing slips for freight carriers.
- Expedites deliveries and shipments to Pharmavite distribution centers to support customer service.
- Forwards shipping support documentation to appropriate departments for filing and record keeping for all Distribution Centers.
- Performs duties of a Forklift Operator back-up when business needs require additional resources.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
A High School diploma or GED is required.
Certification:
Powered Industrial Truck Certification in operation of sit down forklifts and motorized pallet jacks is required.
Experience:
Requires a minimum of three years of experience in warehousing, distribution, materials or inventory control. Experience with carrier contact and computerized transportation systems strongly preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Requires:
- Very effective oral and written communications skills.
- Working knowledge in Inventory, Advanced Warehouse and radio frequency systems.
- Knowledge of cGMP’s, basic safety practices in an industrial environment.
- Familiarity with production goals and setting performance objectives.
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
- Basic math skills.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards MRP systems is preferred.
Environment:
Warehouse and office environment under ambient temperatures.
Physical Requirements:
Minimal walking and standing during work shift. Operate a computer terminal, RF equipment, scanner and printer using set procedures/software. Drive/operate pallet jacks at times during the work shift. Physical ability to reach, push, pull, bend, twist and lift boxes weighing 50 pounds assisted by lift equipment. Work safely within time and tight deadlines.

The salary range for this position is $39,000.00 - $63,000.00.
Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. Our total rewards package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, Medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K match, and other wellness benefits.
Pharmavite provides compensation for all overtime hours worked by non-exempt (hourly) employees in accordance with state and federal law. The need to work overtime hours will be determined by management, based on customer and business necessity to meet the needs of our business, Pharmavite may require employees to work overtime.
Voluntary overtime requested by non-exempt employees must be approved in advance by the employee’s supervisor.
