Pharmavite Supports D&I Efforts in Natural Products Industry, Builds School Gardens

Pharmavite is delivering on our purpose to bring the gift of health to life, not just for our consumers through our products, but by working with organizations to make meaningful changes at our company, in our industry and in our local communities.

In June, we announced our partnership with One Step Closer’s Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (J.E.D.I.) Collaborative that works to ensure equity and belonging in the health and wellness industry.  J.E.D.I Collaborative encourages and provides tools for companies to make meaningful and systemic change in three key areas: culture, consumer, and communities.

As the first vitamin and supplement company to join the collective, Pharmavite will donate $100,000 over three years while exploring additional opportunities to leverage our voice in support of J.E.D.I Collaborative’s efforts to increase BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) representation across the natural products industry, from company leaders to the consumers it serves.

Additionally, Nurish by Nature Made launched their brand-driven Wellness from Within campaign.  Megan O’Connor, DVP of Digital describes the campaign as an, “exciting new initiative that reflects our belief that everyone’s journey is different and the only standards that should matter are your own.”

To bring the initiative to life, Nurish by Nature Made is donating $25,000 to support the efforts of the Movemeant Foundation, a nonprofit organization that empowers girls and women by providing them with resources, opportunities and experiences to use physical movement as a tool to build confidence and self-worth.

In the San Fernando area of Los Angeles, Pharmavite volunteers helped create educational gardens for the students of O’Melveny and Morningside Elementary schools where they can learn about environmental stewardship and nutrition.  This was a labor of love for our nimble crews, who worked tirelessly on two separate Saturday mornings to bring these gardens to life. Funding the efforts of organizations like EnrichLA, which builds, manages and teaches at over 125 school gardens across Los Angeles, helps to ensure the next generation is starting out with healthy minds and bodies.

Our Opelika partnerships continue to grow with Auburn University & O’Grows, whose vision is the creation of sustainable community-based garden where everyone works together to help meet the food needs of all residents in a manner that is economically, socially, and environmentally viable for future generations. To foster young minds and develop future business leaders, our integrated program with the Opelika High School Technical Track launches this fall.
